RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

A responsible business does more than just mitigate its negative impact on society and the environment. It actively seeks to create a positive impact by attending to people, planet, ethics and equity as well as profit.

What is responsible business? Responsible business involves all the activities and investments aimed at enhancing the social and/or environmental impact of the business. These can be internal to the business (such as products or services offered, employee wellness or environmental initiatives) or external to the business, including CSI and SED.

Responsible business permeates all aspects of a company, and there are many frameworks, codes and standards to encourage business towards transparency and societal responsibility. Explore the responsible business resources and the categories within this concept to help you to make more strategic business decisions and broaden your knowledge of ‘better business’.
