The Covid-19 pandemic fundamentally changed how we work, accelerating remote and hybrid models while blurring the boundaries between professional and personal life. This shift has highlighted the importance of supporting employees holistically, addressing not only their productivity needs but also their mental health, work-life balance, and sense of purpose. 

Many companies have employee volunteering programmes (EVPs) in place to provide a sense of meaning, shared purpose, and connection. Establishing an EVP has significant benefits for companies and studies indicate that employee volunteering helps to increase employee engagement and  improve hiring and retention.
