Wesgro is the Western Cape’s official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency, mandated to attract investment, grow exports and position the province as a leading regional economy. Through its work across priority sectors, export markets and tourism, Wesgro plays a central role in shaping the conditions for inclusive, job‑creating and sustainable economic growth in the Western Cape.
Wesgro advances social and environmental outcomes by strengthening market access, supporting future-fit industries and enabling labour-absorbing growth aligned with the Western Cape Government’s Growth for Jobs agenda. Its strategy integrates climate resilience, skills and labour-market readiness as core enablers of competitiveness.
In response to growing demand for quality education in the province, Wesgo, in partnership with the Western Cape Education Department, launched Edu Invest in October 2023. The initiative targets transformative investment in education, focusing on affordable independent school development and education resources and services.
