The Edustreams Foundation

A registered, independent, co-educational and multicultural high school and nonprofit based in Kyalami, Midrand, EduStreams was founded in 2022 and specialised in academic and vocational training for neurodiverse learners age 13-21.

High school learners with ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder and other learning differences often fall through the cracks of mainstream schooling. Without the right environment, these young people disengage, drop out, and enter adulthood without the skills or confidence to participate meaningfully in the economy.

Guided by its philosophy – No Child Left Behind – EduStreams addresses the gap between education and employability through two aligned learning streams: a Technical Occupational Stream and an Academic Stream to be launched in 2027.

– Technical Occupational Stream – Aligned with the Department of Basic Education’s Three-Stream Model, this programme equips learners with industry-relevant vocational skills through a 75% practical, 25% theoretical curriculum. Learners graduate with a GCE Technical Occupational Certificate and real-world competency in Hospitality & Food Production, Woodworking & Carpentry, Agricultural Studies, Beauty & Nail Technology, Arts & Crafts, and Early Childhood Development.

– Academic Stream – A CAPS-aligned academic pathway from Grade 8 that incorporates two technical skills subjects, ensuring learners who can engage with mainstream content still benefit from our hands-on vocational approach.

EduStreams extends its reach beyond enrolled students through its Afternoon Community Centre, open Monday to Friday in the afternoons and on weekends. This initiative is open to EduStreams students, learners from neighbouring schools, homeschoolers and adult learners, making quality skills development accessible to the broader community at no barrier to entry.
