Bright Kid Foundation

Founded in 2000, Bright Kid Foundation is a trusted supplier of Early Childhood Development (ECD) infrastructure throughout South Africa.

The Foundation believes that every child has a right to quality pre-school education in a safe, learner-friendly environment, with access to educational toys and books that support optimal learning, supervised by a trained teacher.

Bright Kid Foundation works closely with its ECD partners and has developed innovative, effective infrastructure that it manufactures and delivers throughout South Africa.

More than 150 000 children have graduated from its fully equipped ‘Edutainer’ preschool classrooms. Its service centres include fully equipped kitchens, offices and sick bays. The Foundation has also developed a Green Soap and Wash Station (SWS), which harvests rainwater and provides thousands of hygienic hand washes.

It manufactures and installs its own splinter-proof, safe play equipment, hygienic flushing toilets and a solar-powered flushing system for smaller Installations.

Its infrastructure has been endorsed by both the Departments of Social Development and Basic Education for ECD registration and access to the per-child subsidy.
