Thembalitsha Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation established in 1997 in South Africa. Working across the Western Cape, it addresses the socio-economic challenges faced by vulnerable and marginalised communities.
The Foundation is dedicated to helping individuals move towards self-reliance through integrated healthcare, education and skills development programmes. In doing so, it restores hope and opens pathways to opportunity.
Thembalitsha runs seven community-based programmes, including three educare centres, a mother-to-baby programme, a skills development programme, a children’s book club, and a youth high-school programme. Its work is grounded in the core values of empowerment, development, and social upliftment, with the aim of effecting meaningful and lasting change.
Through its initiatives in health, training, and education, Thembalitsha equips individuals with essential skills and motivation to contribute positively in their communities – contributing to stronger, more resilient local economies and broader social and economic wellbeing in South Africa.
