HIVSA is a South African nonprofit company and public benefit organisation established in 2002. It works to ensure that children, young people and families are safe, educated, healthy and supported within sustainable communities.
Operating across Gauteng, North West and Limpopo, HIVSA delivers community-centred health and social-development programmes in partnership with community-based organisations, government departments, health facilities and other stakeholders.
Its work spans HIV prevention, care and treatment support; services for children and families affected by HIV; community and health-system strengthening; youth employment and economic empowerment; gender-based violence prevention; and Choma, a digital platform that provides health and wellbeing information to adolescent girls and young women.
Through the NextGen Capacity Hub, HIVSA also offers accredited and non-accredited training, practical skills development, mentorship and capacity-strengthening support for healthcare professionals, community workers and community-based organisations.
By combining direct service delivery, training, technical assistance and digital innovation, HIVSA helps strengthen local organisations and supports vulnerable communities to implement sustainable, evidence-based solutions that enable children, adolescents, young people and families to thrive.
