The Nthuse Foundation is a Level 1 B-BBEE non-profit organisation established in 2013 as an initiative of Nthuse Diversity Management Solutions CC.
We empower persons with disabilities and marginalised communities, focusing on their ability to contribute to society, challenging stigma and promoting equality. This commitment to disability integration and skills development is central to our mission.
We believe a multifaceted approach is essential for true inclusion. Therefore, our offerings extend to critical socio-economic development areas:
- Disability integration and skills development. We address scarce-skills shortages and high youth unemployment by offering accredited, tertiary-level programmes, designed to accommodate persons with disabilities. We provide full project management, including student placement, and offer disability awareness, disclosure and integration workshops for corporate partners. Our experts also conduct building, environmental and workstation audits to ensure physical barriers are removed.
- Early childhood development (ECD). We support accredited ECD centres for children with and without disabilities in underprivileged communities. Our goal is to ensure all young children have access to quality education, nutrition and early intervention support from an early age.
- Women and youth empowerment. We develop and implement initiatives to uplift women and youth through bursaries, skills development and mentorship. These programmes are focused on enterprise development, access to information and personal empowerment to foster independence and economic participation.
The Nthuse Foundation provides professional services to leading South African organisations. Our work ensures that everyone, irrespective of background or ability, has the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills and qualifications to enter the workplace without prejudice.
