Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development (YLED)

YLED is a Gauteng-based non-profit organisation that imparts life skills for success and develops the entrepreneurial spirit among in-school learners and out-of-school youth from diverse communities and backgrounds. It aims to upskill them and prepare them for the future. YLED’s flagship programme, established in 2004 (formally registered in 2014), is a mini-MBA programme that gives selected in-school grade 11 learners the opportunity to have their leadership, interpersonal and entrepreneurship skills honed through five different skills models: employability, leadership, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and social awareness skills. The programme sets out to empower a generation of entrepreneurial leaders through innovative interventions that enhance young people’s chance of success.
