Book Dash

Book Dash believes every child should own 100 books by the age of five. To this end they gather creative professionals who volunteer to create new African storybooks that anyone can freely download, translate, print and distribute. The books are published under an open license, giving them international reach, and the costs of producing high-quality books are vastly reduced. Book Dash sources funding to print physical copies of the books, and gives them away to children to own. [Full listing]

FOCUS ON ITHEMBA

Located on the iThemba Campus in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal, Focus on iThemba is an accredited nonprofit, public benefit (Section 18a) organisation. Rooted in the belief that every child has potential, they invest in quality education to bring about positive change. Their two main pillars are the iThemba Educare Programme and the iThemba Scholars Programme. KKL Changing Lives Foundation t/a Simply Change

Simply Change’s aim is to drive sustainable youth employment through innovation and entrepreneurship. With a focus on education, sports, recreation and recycling, the non-profit organisation develops confident, work-ready young people through upskilling and training.
