Government spent R351 billion on education in 2018 and 44% of corporate social investment, or approximately R4 billion, went to the education sector. Despite significant investment and widespread interest in effecting innovation and progress, large-scale and measurable improvements in the sector remain elusive. The collaboration in education theme sets out to underscore the importance, address the barriers and provide practical tips and implementation tools for how corporate, government and the non-profit sector can work together to realise equitable access to quality education in South Africa.
