The Eskom Business Investment Competition
For more than a decade, the Eskom Development Foundation has run its annual Business Investment Competition to boost ED. Black-owned, registered small and medium enterprises in the engineering/construction, manufacturing, agriculture/agri-processing and trade/services sectors that have been in operation for at least 24 months are eligible to enter.
Over the years, the competition has helped small enterprises move to the next level with not only the financial rewards, but also the business skills, training and networking opportunities provided as part of their prizes. Each sector winner takes home a cash prize of R100 000, runners-up get R50 000, and second runners-up get R25 000. The overall winner of the competition walks away with R150 000, which they can reinvest into their business.
