Who we are
Formerly known as the Disabled Refugees Projects (DRP), Redeeming Hope for the
Disabled (RHD) is a registered non-profit organization established in May 2008 with the aim of protecting and addressing the needs of disabled people indiscriminately (South African citizens including refugees); empowering them with knowledge of their rights, orienting them with skills on job creation to become self-sufficient, and facilitating their integration into mainstream society. The organization was visualized and co-founded by Mr. Godel Sefu following his own tragic experience of 2008 violence being physically disabled. A huge need to protect the most vulnerable of the migrant community was then identified and action was taken and converted into a registered organization.
